I am both a physicist and a visual artist. The bulk of my artwork is reconstructive. I make collages using reused papers and my own drawings or paintings on wood or old book covers and I create conceptual & narrative acrylic paintings on my personal trash instead of putting it in the dump. Then my last avenue of artistic expression is collaged "greeting cards" from reused papers which portray a variety of points of view/experiences and feelings from my own life. Some people find these very funny but they are only partially meant that way.
As a physicist; I am currently a Lecturer in Physics at Cal Poly SLO, and am undergoing research in the human visual system and nonlinear electron transport. For more on my physics career, see my CV here.
Enjoy! (more formal artist statement here and contact me here)
